About Ken Mathieson
New Jersey Asset Management Executive
The recipient of a bachelor's degree in marine transportation and an MBA in finance from State University of New York Maritime College and Fairleigh Dickinson University, respectively, Ken Mathieson began his career as a financial advisor at Prudential Securities in 1987. He spent 12 years at the firm, providing clients with portfolio management and estate planning services, in addition to support with alternative investments, business succession planning, and corporate retirement plans. From 1999 to 2014, Ken Mathieson worked as a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
In 2014, Mr. Mathieson founded Steward Partners Global Advisory, through which he and his team offered securities through Raymond James Financial Services. Since 2017, he has served as managing director of Laidlaw Asset Management, LLC, a registered investment advisor with Laidlaw & Co. The investment bank caters to corporations and families, as well as institutional and multi-generational investors.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Ken Mathieson is a former president of the Franklin Lakes Education Foundation. His hobbies include playing golf, attending Broadway shows, and spending time with his children.Experiences
